A theatrical Spanish immersion early childhood program is currently searching for a part-time lead teacher for its merged ages classroom. (18months-4yrs old). This person will work Monday through Friday from 8:30am-1:00pm. After three months probation the position will pay $20/hr.

The successful candidate must be able to provide daily hands on activities that cover a range of theatrical topics. Ability to imagine, create and play pretending games with the children. Promote imagination and expression when teaching. Be always friendly, cooperative and open to new theatrical approaches on make believe games.

Must be extremely active, energetic, willing to work all the time, helpful with children and other staff, positive attitude and personality to work, play, dance, act, and respect children. Talkative and willing to listen. Outgoing and expressive, determined to take actions when requested.

The teacher will be also responsible of a variety of duties that include:
Keeping accurate records, assist with lesson plans, and cultivate a safe, comforting environment for children involving various activities to stimulate children's cognitive skills, abilities and development.
Supervising children: Monitor, direct, protect, encourage, and nurture children and their behavior
Maintaining ACTIVE AND POSITVE communication with parents and staff members. This is a MUST!
Recording daily observations of children's behavior and activities; monitor behavioral patterns and develop assessment and profiles.
Attending staff meetings, required training, and continuing education

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as detailed below, or equivalent.
MUST be bilingual ( English & Spanish ).

50 credits on Early Childhood Education
Fingerprints
3 Letters of reference
Official Transcript from institution
Updated Physical Form
Mandated Abuse Reporter Online Course
CPR and First Aid is a Plus.

Theatre or Drama knowledge is a PLUS.( Will be trained )

Musical background is a PLUS. .( Will be trained )

Have Monday -- Friday Schedule available: 8:30am -- 1:00pm
