Community Habilitation Instructor

Not-for-Profit organization seeking PART-TIME Community Habilitation Instructors to work one-on-one with developmentally disabled/medically fragile children in the five boroughs including Long Island. We are seeking people particularly in the areas of Staten Island and Long Island. Hours range from 8-16 hours per week and Instructing takes place in 2-4 hour increments. We are seeking viable people who are available during after-school hours; typically in the interim between 3-8 on weekdays in conjunction with being available during weekends.

We need motivated individuals to Teach, Instruct, Prompt, Motivate, and Train our consumers on various life skills and goals, including but not limited to: Community Integration, Cognitive Skills, Fine and Gross Motor Skills, Toileting, Self-Help Skills, Activities of Daily Living, Socialization, and Travel/Money Training.

Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED
Must have experience with Developmentally Disabled population
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
Must be able to pass a Statewide Child Abuse Registry Background Check
Must have a current Tuberculosis (PPD) test

RATE: $18 per hour
