American Girl Place, located on Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan, is the award-winning retail and entertainment destination (a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel, Inc.). We sell books, dolls, and other merchandise and provide a range of inspiring, fun experiences for girls ages 3-12, including a Cafe, Doll Hair Salon and Photo Studio.

American Girl Place is seeking part-time seasonal Sales Associates.

We're looking for dynamic individuals who have the interpersonal skills to deliver friendly and informative service.

Purpose of Position:
Create a positive, memorable experience for girls
Provide prompt, efficient and exceptional sales assistance within our customer-oriented environment
Share product knowledge
Promptly and efficiently process all sales transactions on the register terminal
Answer questions and guide customers
Help to resolve customer problems
Communicate merchandise and service needs to management on a timely basis

Experience/Skills:
A minimum of 1 year sales experience in the retail or service industry
Friendly and engaging communication skills
Experience working with children helpful

Must be willing to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; including evening, weekends and holidays.
