COMPANY DESCRIPTION

We are an innovative, premium learning company seeking expert SAT, ACT, ISEE, SHSAT and subject tutors for Brooklyn and Manhattan. We work closely with high school students on learning programs highly customized to their individual needs, and we offer students personalized preparation for the SAT and ACT college admission tests.

POSITION SUMMARY

We apply among the strictest tutor recruitment criteria in the industry. We believe teaching quality is a key driver of student performance, and we therefore aim to hire and develop the best tutors. Our tutors work closely with students on highly personalized programs, intended to accelerate learning and equip them with industry-leading SAT and ACT test preparation.

If you have extensive experience tutoring for one or both of these tests and meet the following qualifications and requirements, please apply as directed below.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of three years experience teaching either the SAT, ACT, or specific high school subjects

2. Must have scored at least 2200 on an official administration of the SAT, or at least 32 on an official administration of the ACT

3. At least two references from clients or former employers in the industry, to be furnished upon request

4. Excellent academic pedigree and undergraduate or graduate degree from a top university strongly preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Applicants must have a passion for teaching, and the ability to convey testing concepts to students effectively.

Our tutors must make a commitment to teach evenings and weekends, and should be available for a minimum of 5 hours of instruction per week. Tutors must also be able to commit to us and to their students at least until the end of the academic year. Leaving a student midway through the school year is highly detrimental to his or her learning progress.

We expect our tutors to always hold themselves to high standards: they must be diligent, punctual and responsive, and conduct themselves professionally.

SALARY

We believe the best tutors should be compensated accordingly and, as such, our pay rates are among the highest in the industry. Based on proven experience and track record, we offer highly attractive compensation, in the range of $100/hour.
