Title: Senior Field Support Engineer

Hours and Location: This is a full-time position. Engineer will be traveling to client sites in Brooklyn/Manhattan. Telecommuting is available when an onsite visit is not required.

Compensation: Market rate - commensurate with experience and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer networks, servers and applicationsInstall, troubleshoot and maintain network switches, routers, firewalls, managed WiFi solutions and VPNTroubleshoot, diagnose and support internal user workstations/laptops, peripherals, phones, and mobile devices.Build, configure and deploy workstation/laptops. Includes operating system and software installation (imaging).Provide first level support for logon, email, phone system, and mobile device issues.Network support, administration and restoration - DHCP, DNS, WINS support and configurationActive Directory infrastructure and user administration. Configuring, troubleshooting GPOs logon scripts etc.Development and maintenance of technical documentation around the support of network infrastructureAdvising / Consulting clients on industry best practicesGood time management and record-keeping skillsAddress technical support requests and follow up until resolution. Includes logging and tracking tickets within ticketing system.Communicate with the technical staff and escalate outstanding issues whenever required.Work with vendors concerning existing products and escalation of issues.

Job Requirements:

Ability to multi-task across multiple clients, working remotely and on-site to address IT related issuesStrong general LAN / WAN / SAN troubleshooting skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systemsFile/Print Server administrationHand-on experience with Microsoft Exchange and Windows ServersStrong knowledge of Exchange 2007/2010 ServerStrong interpersonal, oral, written communication and time management skills.Ability to lift/move servers and other networking equipment from time to time
