Independent Living Skills Trainer (Bronx)

New Frontiers in TBI is committed to facilitating opportunities for independence and self-advocacy for adults with traumatic brain injury. The ultimate goal is to allow individuals with brain injury to reside in their own homes in the community, versus nursing home residence, and to provide them with the supports and services needed to make this possible. Independent Living Skills Trainer (ILST): The ILST is responsible for conducting a comprehensive functional assessment of the waiver participant, identifying the participant's strengths and weaknesses in performing Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living related to his/her established goals. ILST services may include but not limited to assessment, training, and supervision of, or assistance to, an individual with issues related to self-care, medication management, task completion, and money management. Master's in Social Work, or Psychology with one year experience preferred; Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology with two years' experience required. Posting ID: 3761292569
