German women's RTW brand seeks market interns!

Basler, a worldwide leading fashion company is currently seeking 2-3 unpaid interns (must receive college credit) to assist with various showroom/market duties in our NYC office for May-September.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain practical and real working experience in the fashion industry by learning many different aspects of the wholesale and retail divisions.

Duties included but limited to:
-Showroom set-up and daily maintenance
- Assist showroom sales executives during market, correcting and inputting orders
-Assist in prepping run of show, dressing models
- Perform administrative & operational functions supporting both wholesale and retail sales team as needed, including filing, shipping, sample organization

Internship positions are both full and part-time with flexible hours. We are looking for someone to work at least 15-20 (PT), 30-40 (FT) hours per week. The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate or an individual currently enrolled in a Fashion, Merchandising, Marketing, or Fashion-related field undergraduate program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1-2 years of related experience (Customer Service, Retail, Wholesale)
- Strong customer service and communication skills, must be comfortable speaking with clients
- Working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Great attention to detail
