Senior Interactive Designer / Web Template Designer

Contrix Inc. (established in 1998) is the leading provider of digital customer subscriber acquisition programs for the magazine industry. Headquartered in mid-town Manhattan, New York, Contrix is a customer-centric e-commerce company that has consistently set the standard in the online magazine subscription industry. The company's primary goals revolve around new subscriber acquisition for its client's 1000-plus magazine titles. Sample clients include Time Inc., Hearst and Meredith.

Contrix is seeking a hands on Interactive Designer to:

Develop table-less client websites;General user interface (UI) design;Manage & maintain the design and feel of the company's web-properties;Develop and design promotions & brand initiatives;Other design needs as directed .

Applicants should be prepared to work on a wide variety of projects. Additionally, you should feel comfortable working in a small environment of about 8-10 people.

Position Name: Senior Interactive Designer / Web Template DesignerPosition Type: Full-Time Employee Location: New York, NY Experience: 5 years minimum

Competitive Compensation includes:

Summary of Duties:

Design intuitive, flexible site layouts for the Company and Client Sites.Design branded online promotions for the company's websites.General user interface design.

Required Technical Skills (Beyond having design skills)

High proficiency with Adobe Photoshop / Fireworks or EquivalentCapable of Producing high-quality web-ready images, sprites, rollovers Deep understanding of CSS2 / CSS3. Ability to write valid table-less cross-browser XHTML

Qualifications:
