We're OperationsInc, a human resources consulting firm located in Stamford, CT. A client of ours in the Manufacturing industry specializing in precious metal and base metal products based in Mount Vernon, NY, is seeking a Process Engineer to add to their growing organization. We have been retained to assist them in their efforts to secure the most qualified candidate.

In this multi-faceted role your diverse responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
? Manage daily process quality issues in a high volume manufacturing environment
? Define, measure and monitor product non-conformance and defect trends
? Develop, document and implement methods of collecting and evaluating manufacturing and quality data
? Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and analyze manufacturing variances, failure modes and recommend corrective and preventative actions
? Identify product yields and recommend process and equipment improvements that help increase product yield
? Develop and recommend improvement initiatives in collaboration with other technical personnel
? Take initiative in coordinating continuous improvement projects for specific products
? Work closely with Quality Assurance technicians and manager on quality issues

Qualified candidates will possess:
? Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
? 1 -- 3+ years of related work experience in a volume manufacturing environment
? Experience in metals or materials related industry preferred
? Knowledge and experience implementing process control and product quality toolset such as FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, Cp, Cpk and DOE, process data analysis is preferred
? Ability to work across multiple engineering and manufacturing disciplines, and communicate effectively with different levels of staff
? Ability to perform hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting is required
? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and all Microsoft Office applications is required
? Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Minitab and/or Autocad preferred
? Basic familiarity with ERP systems preferred

Solid written and verbal communication skills, paired with the demonstrated ability to organize your work and multitask, are also essential. The ability to operate independently and proactively is a must, as is the ability to operate in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
