A legal consulting firm is in need of participants for discussion groups to learn about opinions and attitudes of potential jurors. The groups will be held on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 9:00am to 12:00noon and from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. The groups will be held in Brooklyn. You will be paid for your time. You may only participate in one discussion group.
To be considered for these discussion groups, we will need to know that:
? Neither you, nor an immediate family member, are in the legal profession, or work for a law firm or are trial consultants.
? Neither you, nor an immediate family member, are in the medical profession or work for a doctor or hospital.
? Neither you, nor an immediate family member, work in the insurance industry such as for an insurance company or insurance broker.
? Neither you, nor an immediate family member, are currently or were recently involved (in the last year) in a lawsuit.
? You have not participated in a legal focus group or mock trial for the past 12 months.
? Neither you, nor an immediate family member, work for any media organization.
? You understand and speak English.
? You are willing to sign and abide by a Confidentiality Agreement.
? You are willing to give your honest opinions.
We are limiting the group size to 12 participants for each session. If you are interested and meet the above qualifications, please respond to this email. You MUST answer all the questions to be considered. (We ask the following questions so that we can form a group that reflects a typical jury):
- First and Last name

- Age
- Sex
- Religious affiliation (if applicable)
- Ethnic background
- Political affiliation (e.g., Democrat, Republican, Independent, etc)
- Highest grade completed
- Brief work history (please do not send a resume)

Space is limited; please respond as soon as possible. We will contact you by email or phone by April 18 to let you know if you have been selected to participate in the groups.
Notice: we cannot accept late arrivals. If you are selected for a group and arrive late, you will not be allowed to participate and you will be turned away without compensation. Please be sure the time you indicate above is a good time for you.
