Based in New York City, the System Administrator will report to the head of IT. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities, work independently but collaboratively in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Candidate must be a self-starter, work independently yet work within a diverse technical team, in addition to being able to take ownership when required. This is a high visibility position in the IT group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?Responsible for administering the IT environments.
?Undertaking of professional and technical tasks for system implementations.
?Maintain and deploy new hardware and software, which includes OS Installations, patching, day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upgrades.
?Ensure ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established company standards and guidelines while ensuring optimum equipment performance and longevity.
?Work with vendors when necessary to resolve technical problems with hardware and software.
?Backup - Experience with corporate backup technologies and procedures.

Qualifications:

?Minimum 4 years' experience as System Administrator.
?Experience with Windows XP,Win 7, Server 2003 and Server 2008.(Installation and Maintenance)

?Excellent ability to solve user's problems.
?Experience with Cloud Computing and Virtualization solutions, VMware,Citrix and EC2.
?Understanding of networking, TCP/IP,WEB,SMTP,DNS and DHCP servers.
?Experience with Juniper,Cisco products, SSL/VPN,FW
?Understanding NetApp Storage systems.
?Must be detail-oriented, accurate and well organized.
?Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational are required.
?Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and established response times is essential.
?Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with other professionals in order to provide support and resolve issues is a must.
?Must be able to remain flexible with changes in priorities for various task and project assignments

Plus if you have:

?Experience with advanced configuration of Nagios monitoring system.
?Scripting expertise, vbs, power shell.
?Experience with Juniper, Cisco products, SSL/VPN,FW
?Extensive experience with RedHat, CentOS and Linux
?Experience with TrendMicro Anti Virus.
