Teach For America seeks a marketing director to lead national recruitment campaigns that build Teach For America's brand and influence prospective corps members to apply to and join Teach For America. This person is responsible for collaborating on the strategic development and execution of high-impact national marketing initiatives including but not limited to media, advertising, and social media strategy. This person is also responsible for building broad awareness of Teach For America's brand, and specifically for pioneering marketing strategies that compel exceptional professionals to apply to join Teach For America as corps members.

Team Overview
The Marketing team strategically partners with our colleagues to help Teach For America meet its organizational and team-specific goals by:

Developing and sharing actionable insights about our various target audiences;
Delivering high-quality, innovative, multi-channel marketing solutions that represent the essence of our brand;
Driving awareness and intent to act among prospects, parents and potential donors; and
Empowering staff, corps members, alumni and allies to be effective stewards of the Teach For America brand and help foster their advocacy.

The Recruitment Marketing team, specifically, is charged with developing groundbreaking multi-channel marketing strategies to reach prospective corps members and their influencers, empowering the organization to grow its corps size and the scale of its impact. The team partners with colleagues on the Recruitment and Admissions teams to meet goals around the number of qualified candidates who apply to and matriculate into Teach For America's corps.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Develops and recommends national recruitment marketing strategy to reach prospects and their influencers outside of college campus environment, with particular emphasis on recent college graduates and young professionals.
Serves at the primary liaison to the professional recruitment team, providing strategic thought partnership and operational support. Partners with peers on this team to develop marketing plan, work with external partners, and ensure excellent execution to achieve professional recruitment goals.
Partners with the director, national marketing initiatives to ensure that national media strategy is integrated with recruitment marketing initiatives and goals.
Partners with the director, campus recruitment marketing to ensure integration of national and regional recruitment marketing campaigns.
Responsible for all national alliances marketing.
Innovate and pioneer additional marketing initiatives based on qualitative and quantitative market research and industry best practices

Candidate Profile
Skills & Demonstrated Experience

Track record of generating new marketing solutions that raise awareness and generate intent to act
Ability to build and manage relationships with internal leaders and external partners
Ability to deeply understand, communicate, and represent Teach For America's mission, theory of change, and value proposition
Exceptional strategic and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management and operating skills
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness

Education and Professional Background

Bachelor's degree is required
MBA or graduate degree in marketing preferred
Minimum of five years of work experience
Experience in digital marketing and social media required
Experience working with advertising and marketing agencies preferred
Experience marketing to diverse communities highly preferred
Occasional travel required
