Full time - Medical Office Management Level Position

Suitable candidates for the position will be educated, well spoken and have a minimum of 3 years prior experience working at the management level in a surgical specialist's office (plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery or neurosurgery experience preferred). Significant experience handling all aspects of billing and collection required.
Excellent interpersonal skills ("people skills") are an absolute must.

Candidates must be:
*Self-motivated and hard working
*Detail oriented
*Capable of effectively communicating (excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential)
*Highly organized and able to multitask
*Adaptable
*Able to effectively prioritize and independently manage multiple tasks

Required skills:
*Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
*Be able to manage surgeon's office and surgical schedule
*Be able to secure insurance authorizations and benefit pre-determinations
*Experience with medical billing, collections and claim appeals
CCSP, and/or CCS certification via AHIMA, and/or CPC certification is a plus
*Knowledge of MacPractice is a plus

Responsibilities include:
*Interacting with patients by telephone and in person
*Billing, collections and claim appeals
*Securing pre-authorizations and pre-determinations
*Management of patients' financial accounts (accounts receivable)
*Management of Doctor's schedule and coordination with other doctor's office for combined surgical procedures
*Scheduling of appointments and surgical procedures
