The specific role of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst of the ABA program is to provide behavioral interventions for the clients. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to staff and parent training, direct service, creating program books, developing social skill curricula, implementing and developing programs, mentoring, training and supervising all other therapists/analysts. Services will be provided for individuals with autism and their families. Services will be provided both in-home and at Stepping Forward. Behavior Analysts will provide 1:1 or group behavioral interventions to clients and their families. Analysts will report directly to the director.
Qualifications:
Requires a BCBA
Experience working with children (with special needs and/or autism preferred)
Bi-lingual skills, a plus
Masters Degree in a related field
Demonstrated ability and experience in the development and implementation of FBA and the development and implementation of Individual Behavior Plans
Must be a Team Player
Duties:
- Conduct Behavioral Assessments
- Develop and oversee implementation of Individual Behavior Plans
- Engage families in the collaborative treatment of behavioral challenges presented by their child/dependent adult having a developmental or emotional disability
- Provide in-home parent education, training, demonstration, and coaching in the principles of Behavior Management, as applied to the individual having behavioral challenges
-Assist Families in the continued development and implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments
-Teach Families to track and evaluate progress related to interventions
- Manage/supervise data collection
- Provide written progress reports
- Supervise and monitor Associate Behavior Specialist
