Day to day operations include helping customers with their VoIP systems and troubleshooting setup, connectivity and call quality issues. Most issues are related to the users internal network so its important you have a good understanding of routers and switches. You will also be responsible for answering technical questions regarding the service. If you do not have a background in VoIP we will train you, however a minimum experience and knowledge of networking is a must.
Those with a background in Asterisk or other SIP based VoIP platforms will be highly considered.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting support calls
- Answering technical questions for new customers
- Assist in setting up customers account
- Assist in setting up customers VoIP phones (over phone)
Requirements:
- Must be speak English fluently and be clearly spoken
- Must have decent writing skills, important for responding to emails
- Good understanding and experience with networking (routers, switches, etc)
- At least one year experience in technical support (and must include networking)
This position is full time and is located a few blocks from the Yonkers MTA train station and around the corner from the Bee-line bus stop. Pay is 15.00 per hour
