Meatpacking cocktail bar and restaurant is seeking highly qualified candidates for the Floor Manager position. This is a challenging job with an overall responsibility to manage the operations of the restaurant and maximize employee performance and efficiency. We require that the candidate ensure superior service and product quality, drive brand and value initiatives, restaurant performance, and staff development.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
? Manage day-to-day operations and assignments of the Restaurant. Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule/assign work. Comply with and advise staff of formal policies and procedures, identify options and resolve issues
? Ensure that product quality standards are met in all areas of the restaurant, as it relates food and service quality, appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness; establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the restaurant. Achieve productivity and quality goals.
? Establish performance goals for employees and provide regular feedback. Develop a succession plan to ensure adequate future bench strength. Ensure that all staff are properly trained and have the tools, information and equipment and support needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
? Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and restaurant assets. Achieve established safety compliance goals. Comply with all standards and inspection requirements.
Requirements:
? 3+ years of Floor Manager experience in the New York City area at a casual fine dining restaurant
? Exceptional organization, communication and critical thinking skills
? Ability to perform and delegate with maximum efficiency under high pressure
? Extensive experience managing a diverse staff with an emphasis on training, coaching, and cultivating a teamwork atmosphere
? An understanding that you are the Standards Bearer - A refusal to settle
